A traditional English fairy-tale retold and arranged for Narrator and four guitars. First performed at the Eastman Community Music School in 2012 by Donald Sade- narrator, Matthew Ardizzone, Petar Kodzas, Kyle Patterson, and Sungmin Shin - guitars. A good time was had by all.
The melody of the theme "Jack and the Princess" is based on my memory of a song in an early, animated film of Jack and the Beanstalk that I watched decades ago with my young children. The narrative, although based on the traditional story, contains some original elements, especially the salvation of the Giant at the end.
